Emily J. Yamada, J.D./LL.M.

Emily J. Yamada concentrates her practice in the areas of estate and trust planning, business transition planning, and tax consulting.

She graduated (magna cum laude) from Bryn Mawr College, received her Juris Doctor from Georgetown University Law Center in 2011, and earned her Master of Laws in Taxation at the University of Washington School of Law in 2014. She is admitted to practice in Washington State and the United States Tax Court.

Emily serves as Chair of the Pro Bono Committee of the Washington State Bar Association’s Taxation Section. She also volunteers at the University of Washington Federal Tax Clinic, where she represents low-income taxpayers in controversies with the IRS.

When not practicing law, Emily enjoys attending and volunteering at performing arts events. She serves on the Board of Directors of Pacific Northwest Ballet's Young Patrons Circle.
